Sales Engineer (any state)

eFiberTools.com, an up-and-coming market leader in sales and distribution of fiber optic products, has immediate openings for one to two SALES ENGINEERS. Applicants must be qualified and experienced in technical sales of fiber optic, test equipment, semiconductor or a similar high-tech industry, and possess necessary education.


Although we prefer sales people located in the Phoenix area self-motivated applicants may be able to work from their home in any state they currently reside. Applicants located in Texas, California, and the East Coast are of special interest. However location is not as important as the experience and qualifications an applicant may possess.


Our newest and most exciting product is a high-quality fiber optic fusion splicer from Inno Instrument. Already earning 70% market share in Korea, the Inno IFS-10 is on its way to become the best-selling core-alignment splicer in the US market within just a few short years. The introduction of the Inno to the US market opens up a rare opportunity for ambitious salespeople experience in B2B sales and marketing in the high-tech industry. The Inno competes directly against Fujikura, Fitel, Sumitomo and Corning fiber splicers. Additional fusion splicer models are expected to be introduced by Inno later this year.


Other products include a range of optical test equipment, optical fiber cable and connectivity from various manufacturers. Our customer base consists of fiber and cabling contractors, telecoms and ISPs , manufacturers, government and education, and other businesses and organizations worldwide. Many of the products we sell are for the wholesale and retail markets.


This year we plan to add 2-4 additional sales and marketing people. Applicants must possess the skills needed to locate sales opportunities, educate customers about our products, and be able to follow through with execution of highly technical products, and do so in a professional manner. Experience with a CRM application is a must. All customer information must be entered into our CRM system.


Our preferred compensation consists of commission-only; however for the right candidate we will consider a salary plus commissions. Being a small company each of our employees is highly valued and all applicants must be prepared to demonstrate their experience and skills, especially prior to finalizing a salary agreement. Responsibilities

  • Research and locate new sales opportunities using online and off-line resources, including directories, Internet search and data mining, past customers, and other resources.
  • Use professional selling skills to generate preference for our products and services.
  • Respond to prospect and customer contact using the telephone, e-mail, RFQ's and other communication tools.
  • Handle presale and post-sale service, including customer education of our products.
  • Set and meet targeted sales and revenue goals.
  • Setup and manning of industry trade shows.
  • Enter and maintain all prospect and customer information in our Infusionsoft CRM.
  • Travel to customer locations on in as needed basis.
  • Recommend new products based on experience and customer feedback.
  • Provide direction for Customer Service and Marketing.
  • Monitor and interpret data on competing products and competitors.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge of all our products, in be able to recognize new business opportunities based on customers' need.
  • Continually improve selling skills through participation in training and seminars, supervisory feedback, self-evaluation, and customer feedback.


Desired Skills & Experience

  • 4 year BS technical degree preferred.

  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

  • Minimum 5 years selling experience preferred.

  • Proficient with Standard computer software. Basic requirements are Microsoft office suite of products.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Willing to travel up to 20%.

  • Ability to quickly develop understanding of complex technical products and customer applications.

Fusion Splicer Tech/Engineer

Have you worked for AFL-Fujikura, Fitel, Sumitomo, Corning or Vytran? Then we are most anxious to talk to you.


We have a standing offer to anyone who can provide labor, consultation or documents on repairing and calibrating fiber optic fusion splicers from any fusion splicer manufacturer. Past and current employees of any manufacturer with experience in repair and calibration should contact us immediately with their qualifications.


Engineers and technicians, do you have experience with fusion splicer assembly, repair or calibration from working for any of the above companies. You do not need to be located in Phoenix, AZ!. We want full or part time people who have worked for any of the above fusion splicer manufacturers. If you can provide consulting, technical article submissions, or obtaining repair instructions on any fusion splicer models, circa 1995 to present, we are most interested in talking to you.
