The FLS-110 is a highly reliable, field portable, fiber-optic light source. Paired with a fiber-optic power meter, the FLS enables you to accurately measure power or loss on singlemode or multimode fibers. It performs equally well in outside plant or premises wiring applications, and can test both long-haul or local area networks(LAN).

Convenient Features

This single source offers CW and 2 kHzmodulation for fiber identification, complete status indicators, lowbattery indicator, and an auto-off function. The unit is containedinside a durable, waterproof case surrounded by a shock-absorbingholster that protects the instrument in tough field conditions. Singlewavelength units offer high and low power levels to maximize batterylife.

3-way powering

The FLS-110 relies on three complementary powersources for extended operation. When the rechargeable NiCd battery runslow, the unit automatically switches to the 9 V alkaline batterybackup. An AC adapter/charger is also supplied for continuousoperation.
